2005: Letter from Marilyn

Dear Mr. Deever,

I was fortunate enough to have several of my students participate in the recent field trip to Target and McDonald's. Initially, I was not looking forward to spending an an entire morning away from my own holiday projects. However, your even organization and the number of participating volunteers made the trip relaxing and fun for me.

Your generosity inspired and reminded me that this is not the season for "more is better." Rather than madly rushing out to buy my daughter more presents, I spend the afternoon playing with her. Thank you for sharing your abundance.
